Hi, I’m Jesse
I've taken photos of the people in their own unique spaces: their homes, where they work, and in the communities where they live. I have engaged people in their stories from mill village workers in rural North Carolina to Mayan coffee farmers in rural Guatemala. Through my experiences, I have gained knowledge as a photographer and storyteller. Growing up in a rural South, I have gained a first hand perspective of the small communities that draw meaning out of life in the mundane. My pursuit is in telling stories of communities, locally and abroad.
I currently live in the rural foothills of Western North Carolina. This Southern land will always be home where ever I go, since Southern people romanticize the land they grew up on.
I’m available for commission work, portraits, events, travel, documentary, or photojournalism work. Send me an email and I’ll be in touch with you.
